I just checked my email and received an email from an employer in regards to a position that I applied for on Indeed TWO YEARS ago. It was for a CDL driving job and he wanted to know what endorsements I have. It wouldn't have bothered me as much except for the fact that he reached out and then ghosted me two years ago after I drove in to fill out a paper application.
So I asked a few questions in response. Do you realize that I applied two years ago? Why the delay in getting back to me? What makes you assume that I still looking and am interested in the position? I then finished by letting him know that a response to my questions will get an answer to his. Doubt that I will get a response.
Screw all the employers that roll like this. Treating employees and prospects like shit for years got them to this point. They can now sit in it.
