I am keeping my sister's dog this week. He has a history of anxiety, and when I left him home alone for a few hours Saturday, he evacuated himself all over my floor.
I asked my boss if I could work from home the days we are in the office, because I wanted to avoid that situation again. She said she would give it some thought. Two minutes later, she messaged me saying that it wasn't fair and that we've been slacking on coming into the office unless we had an appointment or medical reason. I got home today and the same thing happened.
So I told her because I couldn't find someone to watch him I was going to have to take a sick day.
She wasn't happy, but what else am I suppose to do? I could easily work from home and be productive while watching my dog, but because that's not allowed, I feel like this is my only option.
