35% of company to be laid off

Not my company, but my wife’s. She is currently agonizing because her company announced today that they’ll be laying off about 30% of the company tomorrow. So now, my wife (and of course me) are all-consumed by anxiety for the entire night wondering if she’ll be laid off. I can’t think of a shittier or crueler way to treat your employees. Making them wait and stress and entire night is abhorrent. This is also not the first time they’ve done a mass layoff and handled it like true monsters. This happened two years ago and the CEO called an all hands meeting to announce that all employees would receive a zoom invite. That meeting would either be to tell you you’re safe or that you’re being let go. Imagine how stressful clicking that fucking link must’ve been but now these poor employees have to wait all fucking night to see…

Seriously, fuck this company and their CEO and their board of dipshits with the fire of a 1000 suns.
