Christian Organization Keeps Workers In Poverty

The Salvation Army in Somerset Pennsylvania pays their store associates $7.50 an hour (a 25cent raise was given at the start of 2022.) Not only does this ignore the 7%+ inflation we are experiencing, but ignores the inflation that's occurred in the THIRTEEN YEARS since the minimum wage was last increased. Every single thing they sell is donated, they get it all 100% for FREE. The store brings in THOUSANDS of dollars a day. They only have TWO cashiers. They pay them 7.50 an hour. $60 a day before taxes… I dont know what i hope to achieve by sharing this here… but I hope that maybe, just maybe, if this gets big enough, it might help somehow.
