During my checkered career, I have had my share of complete idiots as bosses who were part of toxic organizations. They were dumb, unethical, crazy, and made just terrible decisions.
Usually, I just put up with them because I needed the job and the money it paid.
But later I had more money and was more marketable and did not have to get along with the boss. If you are not afraid to be fired then you have real power in your job.
