Antiwork

Today my manager taught me the important lesson that hard work is NOT appreciated

I go into the opening shift, tired from some minor insomnia the night before. I power through, end up doing the work of several people and then some. I'm feeling proud of myself. What does my manager say to me at the end of the day? Good job? Proud of you? Nope. He simply says: “I noticed you looked tired today. Get it together, you don't want to become a bench warmer.”
