A good news story for once (sort of)

Background: I work in an office for a sector of the UK government, where we're considered 'key workers' (or at least, we were in March 2020). Around the end of 2020, everyone got the option to work from home, but I declined this for various reasons (chiefly, I really don't need a reminder of my work life at home). Next week in the UK, its going to be hot. Especially on Monday and Tuesday. 104 degrees Fahrenheit might not be a lot to some of you, but over here it's classed as 'threat to life hot'. This afternoon, before I went home, the head of our department announced that everywhere expecting a red warning heatwave (which my part of the world is) will have to work from home on Monday and Tuesday for their own safety. We were told to enjoy the four day weekend. 🙂 so take this as an example, especially for those in London and the home counties where it'll be hottest of all- if a government department says 'stay home, it's dangerously hot', then there's no reason your bosses can't say that either.
