looking for a job really is a job except you don’t get paid for it

Just a little rant…so I've been looking for a job for about 2 months now. I have even gotten to the point where I've been applying for basic jobs like customer service, something obviously anyone can do, with horrible pay. I've done so many personality assessments that companies expect you to spend a decent amount of time on (i.e. choosing whether you strongly agree or disagree with irrelevant statements, what would your response be to such and such situation, etc) that I can't even count. I just recently had one ask me to do an assessment that was estimated to take over an hour, and when I started it I realized the questions were such BS and a huge waste of time. Then there are the ones where you have to have a degree even if the field your degree was obtained in has absolutely nothing to do with the job you're applying for, as long as it's a degree. Oh and don't forget the companies that advertise a certain pay but then tell you it's actually lower than that in an interview (ok so you're wasting BOTH of our time??) It's really true when people say looking for a job is a job except you don't get paid for it. (Just to note: I have years of experience in the field that I have been applying for. Maybe my resume sucks I don't know lol.) I'm just tired of working for companies that do not pay a living wage and expect you to do all of this nonsense when you're applying, with no guarantee you'll get the job or even an interview. Okie I'm done.
