So, apparently, every Tuesday and Friday I go raiding in WoW with the proletariat. Discussing wages, work, money, etc. while we are waiting between bosses, and someone breaks into the conversation with how much they are losing on their rentals right now because of inflation and how they can't see raising their rents at this time and keeping their tenants, but how much they want to. Then another pipes in with similar, and how their stocks aren't looking that great atm.
I was left momentarily stunned, accidently stopped my healing as I took a moment to process that. Me, someone who is currently unemployed, disabled, and working on getting said disability, paying for my access to the game with game money (people buy account time, then can sell that for game gold, I can then buy that with game gold and extend my account), and they are talking about how their pile of money isn't as big as it could be.
