i currently work at printdropper in pittsburgh, but i used to work in kitchens and landscaping before i made my home here. i absolutely love this job; very cool staff and coworkers, decent PTO well from covid, coming in less than an hour late isnt an absence, and a bunch of other stuff that it dope as hell. with all good things said, we still have problems and its mostly “mandatory overtime” around chirstmas and mothers day. i also used to regularly work in a recording studio in the south side (upstreet records) but after covid i decided i cant take doing in-person recording sessions so i only do remote mixing and mastering for them sometimes. i had marked friday-sunday as studio days when i first started working at PD but eventually picked up sundays to make some extra cash. any time we get really busy my boss does a mass text and tells wveryone if they dont work extra at christmas then dont come back the next week. i have changed my persobal contact card to be named after my studio boss, and just text myself that i have obligations pre planned at the stufio and they can feel free to fire me any time and i wont be showing up extra, and it works every time. maybe my boss just likes me, but doing work outside of your contract is morally ducking dumb and u should tell them to fuck off. stay strong comrades revolution is coming
