I’m a part of the problem

I was on an thread on r/nottheonion where people were talking about personal responsibility. I want to be honest with myself. I'm not only a part of the problem but I'm a whiney hypocrite. I don't have much time so I might edit this and add more later. The first thing that comes to my mind is the amount of fast food I eat. I go multiple times a week to fast food restaurants that underpay and most likely mistreat thier employees as well. Here's the thing. I don't drive. It takes me 15 extra minutes to go to one of these places (the only one with a consistently open dining room after 6pm) I could make my own burger and fries, cheaper, faster and better (better ingredients) at home. This is just one example in my life where I support businesses that harm their employees where I personally would…

This is just one example in my life where I support businesses that harm their employees where I personally would be better off not supporting them and yet I choose to do so.

Then I have the nerve to complain about my customers who make the choice to come to massage envy and pay more money, for less time, while getting an inferior service. But how do I have the audacity to complain about them when I do the exact same thing with food?

I need to work on myself and live up to my values. That includes being more conscientious about my spending habits when I can. But I can't sit here basking in the glory of talking about antiwork while using my hard earned money to unnecessarily capitalist that exploit members of the labor class. I am a hypocrite.
