As of late I noticed when searching for remote jobs, some will say “remote” or “work from home” then you click on it and read the job description, and suddenly it says “this is an in-office position”. Or one of the employer questions is “Are you able to reliably commute to our office, or are you able to relocate?” Are they doing this just to draw people to the posting to increase the number of applicants whether they extend a potential job offer or not?
For the record, the job platform I am using is Indeed.
Edit: I am not talking about jobs that clearly outline that there is an OPTION to work remotely after training, or ones that clearly specify it is a hybrid position. These postings are specifically labeled as remote by Indeed or will say “Work From Home” in the title, then the job description says otherwise (small print well-hidden amongst walls of text, as if it's being done intentionally to be deceiving).
