I'm still processing what just happened. Last week I filed a PTO request. It was denied. I asked my supe what would happen if I wasn't able to make it since I'd be at a family event out of town. She said I'd be marked for insubordination. I said I understood. Now I get into the office, have a meeting with my supe and some dude from HR telling me I'm fired. This is in WI, which I think is pretty well known for how poorly workers are treated so I doubt this is illegal. But god damn am I pissed.
