I don't really write posts so bear with me this will probably be a bit lengthy. recently got a new Manager. It's only been a couple days and I already know it's gonna be awful.
I work graveyard at a gas station, I work some day shifts because we were short staffed. I know I'm a good worker, iv been told as such and I go the extra mile yadda yadda
My new manager has been very unpleasant with me. For example. There are garbage cans outside at the gas pumps that i take care of every morning when the sun starts to come up, because is sketchy to go out there at night durin the dark. My new manager comes in just a bit before I take care of the trash and is very upset that i haven't done them.
She says it HAS to be done before 4am. I explain to her why i wait till the sun comes up, after all, I'm by myself at night. She is not understanding whatsoever. In fact, she tells me that she's had a female worker do my shift and do the outside trashes at night no problem so I (a male) shouldn't be worried. I was taken aback by that. She then threatened to take away my graveyard shifts if it's a problem for me. Mind you. This is ONE aspect about my job, that I still get done. Just later. And iv NEVER had anyone complain about it till her. So now she wants to take away all my graveyard.
And the last thing, I have an ill wife. She's been sick for over two years and we have been desperately trying to find out what's wrong with her, I have to take care of her cook for her, everything. My previous manager (as well as regional manager) understood this were very empathetic about it.
So today we had a mandatory meeting three hours after my graveyard shift and I needed to go home and take care of my wife. I explained this to my new manager and she was so upset about it. She was in disbelief that I had to skip out on her first meeting that she said was about introducing herself so we can get to know her. She didn't give one shit about my wife and was more upset that I couldn't attend her meeting and was complaining about whatever complications that puts on HER. She almost didn't let me skip the meeting for my very ill wife. She then tells me that I can't miss the next one NO MATTER WHAT.
There are other things but this is already very lengthy. I want to file complaint or something idk what to do. I love my job. But now I'm incredibly uncomfortable and appalled at her callousness and insensitivity. What do i do
