So I got an amazing job offer the other day and I accepted. My current job doesn't know yet, because I want to get my yearly bonus before I leave because it'll be to the tune of like 10k after taxes, and it was for the work I did in 2021 so I earned it. I start at my new company the end of March, and my bonus comes mid March, leaving enough time for me to only give them a weeks notice, and I literally have to give my notice the day I get my bonus or else I won't be able to give them even a week. I looked in our employee handbook and I don't see anything that says I have to be with the company a certain amount of time after the bonus, but I'm fairly certain if I give them notice before I get the bonus, they won't give it to me. Is it possible that they can claw it back?
