I just started a job in HR this week and today I was sifting through employee survey results for a survey that was done regarding workload, whether they felt their workloads had increased too much in the last twelve months, if their pay was proportionate to the amount of work expected of them and whether they felt properly supported by and received good communication from leadership and some other stuff.
After being in this sub for awhile and seeing the fall out of the Fox News interview and it largely being deemed as an echo chamber on other parts of reddit, it felt super vindicating to see the consensus about things like pay, work load etc. from a real life workplace (and one filled with mostly 40-60 year olds who probably wouldn't use reddit) align almost perfectly with what this subreddit has been saying with the current landscape of the workforce (underpaid, overworked).
One of my coworkers asked me if I found the survery interesting, and I said it was crazy to see how it almost perfectly matched the growing discord and unrest I've noticed with regards to work reform and workplace conditions in online work movements and she agreed with me. Was cool!
