So after almost 20 years doing automotive I finally said fuck it and quit. 2 weeks ago put in my notice was done not making money because as a mechanic you aren't paid hourly your paid flat rate. Old boss asked what it would take to keep me, told him I wanted a raise and to move forward and do more work he said from a business standpoint he is going to keep things how they are. That was my last day.
Started this week doing pet cremation services and honestly happier, happier at a job where people want to just get the job done and get out at a decent time
. No more 5:30/6:00pm after being at work at 7am.
