Whoever even invented the whole being walked out/escorted out during firing thing?

They even escort out of building contractors they fire but they're often just employers that rent out a floor in a building and the whole building isn't even theirs. If they try escorting you out of whole building when they're firing you and they only lease one floor make sure you don't budge if they come in elevator with you and try to walk you out of building. Firing doesn't mean you committed a crime and you have a right of freedom and they can't walk you out. My buddy who worked at Best Buy corporate told me he has seen managers escort people not only out of building but to their cars lol. Like wow to their cars? They have not right following a person to their own car in the parking lot, i was like the fuck? Person can call police and mention someone is follow them. If…

If you're a contractor and someone fired you without your contracted company calling you to inform you, and they tried walking you out you can just call police to inform them you're a contractor and your contracted agency hasn't informed you that you haven't been fired which means you can remain in building lobby if you wanted. Security can't put their hands on you and if someone tries to block you from walking to cafe or restraunt in the building they can get disorderly conduct or some other charge. Only building management that owns building has the right to trespass you and until they do that you can't be walked out of a building. Chances are even corporate headquarters like Best Buy lease the building from someone

My previous IT job was overworked abused and I supported 4 companies and the corrupted CEO and COO and his son paid good money to only higher up VPs and managers, everyone else was SOL. That firing was a blessing in disguise because I got a better paying IT job that pays good and doesn't abuse me.

I'd do a witchcraft confession with that past bad employer of mine but y'all won't believe in that stuff so nvm.

That past bad employer tried walking me out of building but I informed her sorry you only lease 3rd floor and security guy at desk was cool and he saw me pass by him often and he didn't bother me, she left me and I chilled on the couches in the lobby.

Don't let them walk you out of building because they're not authorized to do that, you haven't done anything wrong aside from getting fired and you have your rights and no one can walk you out of building unless even lobby is secured area that requires badge to get in. In my case lobby and cafe was open to the public so I didn't budge. They can only escort you up to point where badge is no longer required.
