It’s interesting how many people see squid game and think “he he. Deadly game trendy”
Yet even the creators have gone out of their way to outright state the series is a commentary on class society.
People are just struggling to get by, no matter how hard they try. Every title and every award of education are coveted for personality but largely ignored in function and qualification.
Then the rich get a hard off making a game where people literally ducking die. Uptight in morals that have real life consequences, they smugly hide behind these values the poor need to abide by. Creating desperate situations and constantly pestering the carrot on a stick for problems they created. They call it a “fair game” yet constantly season the game to coax results. If someone is getting too ahead but ( oh my) they are too old or god forbid brown they immediately gotta go. Suddenly the game master intervenes to shackle the advancing individual.
And somehow people see this and think of it as whacky game show that they should mimic in real life?!!?
