On my way out I went to my manager to talk about a pay discrepancy. She asks me what is going on between me and my coworker. I’m confused so I ask what she means by that. She says her boss (essentially the CFO of the business) saw me and a co worker “talking closely” on the cameras. I really don’t know what she is referring to. I rarely work with this co worker. I work at a Dog Daycare. All I said was I think there is a misunderstanding and left because I had already clocked out.
What do I do? I felt really uncomfortable with this conversation because it was out of nowhere. The CFO has cameras everywhere, including the break room. He is known to watch them and message the GM about issues (with cleaning usually).
