Coping mechanisms?

I just joined this sub recently, and wow. It’s amazing to know there’s a whole community of people who think like me! 🥰 I’ve been struggling with my motivation to work for a while… At first, I thought it was due to losing my dad recently (which definitely does affect my ability to work), but I also think it’s much deeper, and I’m starting to see the reality of just how destructive capitalism has been for the US. Anyway… I’m really here to ask how y’all cope with the never ending hamster wheel that is work. My job is decent. The culture is pretty – drink the cool aid or don’t work here – so I have to fake it a lot. It pays the bills, but I can’t really save, and I have zero motivation to “work harder” for a promotion. Some days just feel so heavy. What are…
