Horrendously ignorant remarks were just made about how non english speakers need to “speak American if you want to live here” “Why should we have to learn Spanish, its useless” “If someone wants help i hope they know hiw to speak english” No one said a peep. Everyone just looked uncomfortable. I spoke up “that is a very ignorant way of thinking, I know 2 different languages and I took ESOL in elementary school to help me with pronunciation etc. I asked him if he would help a deaf customer then since “they aren't speaking American”. What an asshole. He just went to lunch. Not a fan of the new guy. Funny thing is. This guy is african american. Such fucking irony.
