Had a broken water pipe and called a local plumbing company to come in and repair it. They asked for $400. Then the plumber came in and spend two hours repairing it. He did a good job so I offered him a soft drink. Chatted for a couple of minutes and found out he only got paid $25 an hour. The material cost to repair that pipe is $20 at most. So basically his employer made $330 and he made $50. They say big corporates are evil. I don't think some of the small business are any better.
