My adult child works in restaurants and whenever they are sick they have to find their own coverage, what the hell is this bs? To me the manager should do that since they do scheduling etc. When I worked in food service over 20 years ago, it wasn't my problem to find my own coverage. Everyone should stop doing the manager's job and have them contact others if they need coverage. PS: idk if this is unique or common practice but have to vent on this crap.
