LIDl IGNORES THEIR EMPLOYEES WHEN THEY MAKE INCOMPETENT MISTAKES

started a job in Lidl. told them I’m a student and can’t start working until I finish my exams which was like 3 weeks after the initial induction. they told that this is fine, and that they have an absence policy where they pay you for the absence but it has to be paid back. They told me explicitly that they wont put me as absent and simply schedule me into work after my exams. 1 month later and they send me a payslip saying they are paying me for my absences, then 2 months later they state that they want their money back. I emailed them the proof of what had been said and that this is their mistake due to incompetence and lack of communication or due care. And that they are not getting anything off of me. i was just simply ignored for the last 3 weeks, no emails nothing. They’re not even telling me the action they are taking if I do not pay. well fuck them, how can a company ignore someone regarding PAY AND MONEY. fucking clowns, if they can ignore me so can I, if they expect anything from me then they are delusional. why pay me then want it back when I was explicitly told I won’t be paid. that’s not my mistake. clowns. whoever works for them is getting rid like a horse. zero care for employees and their own policies.

Don’t get me wrong though, I have the money to pay back and I was willing to. But the fact that I was just ignored even after sending another email stating that this should be treated as an urgent matter so a reply even acknowledging my email and the steps being taken would be nice, made me think hell nah.
