our hours have been getting cut like crazy so that the company can squeeze as much labor out of as little people as possible
my manager started 2 months ago and everything has been downhill since then. she told one of our leads that she would prefer to fire everyone and start over fresh. she’s overall just very rude. she threatened to fire people if we don’t promote their bullshit credit card. and idk what she did but apparently someone has already reported her to HR
then today i see two new names on the schedule for next week. i ask the lead “do you know why she hired two more people?” and the lead rolls her eyes and says “because she’s an asshole”
people have been intentionally requesting closing shifts to avoid working with her. our new guy, who has only been here a few weeks, has requested to transfer to another store so he doesn’t have to work with her. she’s been scheduling multiple turn arounds for everyone. she says that it’s our responsibility to find our replacement if we have to call in. she refuses to help our leads learn new things and tells them to figure it out themselves. and idk what else she’s done or said, but i’m sure there’s more
i hate this. i love my coworkers. i like my job because of them. now they all want to leave and transfer to other stores because of our manager. i want to stay just to spite the bitch, but i can’t justify staying at a job where i only get 13 hours a week average cause i got bills to pay. i’m used to getting around 25 hours. that’s literally been cut in half for me. this is such a blow, man. i liked this job before she came here
