To my accuser at work:

I hope you learn one day going forward in a work or school setting that if someone inadvertently does or says something you don’t like that may have ultimately been misconstrued, you have a conversation with them about it first. Lying to the person to avoid talking about the problem, then claiming that their unintentional presence is threatening afterwards, and then going behind their back and putting their livelihood on the line, especially when they were unaware that there was a problem to begin with, is not okay. What could have easily been settled through conversation within a day or two has blown up and has been dragging on for months as a result of unnecessarily enabling an anxiety-ridden system to take action, especially one that is slow and indifferent to the well-being of its employees to begin with.
