Antiwork

I work for a nationwide auto glass company. (Think annoying TV jingle)

So, they've completely changed the pay structure so their new technicians are making more than their experienced technicians. They've also mandated 6 days workweeks, maxed out job capacity on the techs and are basically running them into the ground. To top it off, our shop recently hired in an incompetent former retail manager who leaves early most days and has zero clue on the day-to-day dynamics of our industry. The other day the switch flipped for me. I filed legal paperwork to start my own business, got my licenses in order and am working on building a steady client base and advertising my services so I can leave here in 2 months. Also, I may have contacted the local for AFL-CIO for possible union representation. Even if I won't be there much longer, I'm hoping conditions can improve for my soon-to-be former colleagues. Wish us luck!
