Question about a certain kind of posts

Recently there have been quite a few posts here to the effect of “I got fired, so I used my still active clearance to delete whatever I could, undo my work, e.t.c. ” Some of the stated reasons were “They think they can fire me and use my work?! Oh no.” ,”I am petty :)” … Well, first of all, they were paid to do whatever it was, that they did. Secondly, they are inviting legal trouble as well as enormous reputational losses. It's one thing, when your ex-employer says “Oh, he was a bad fit for the company” or whatever and another, when it's “Oh, when we fired him he destroyed whatever he could, because we didn't revoke his clearance sufficiently/fast enough” or , hell, “we successfully sued him for damages”. Am I missing something here? I get, that these posts work as revenge porn, but is this behavior…
