I'm finally leaving my company in about 2 months. It's all mutual, but they'll never truly know the hatred I have for them and the toxic environment they've created that causes me so much mental distress. Only worked at the company for 2 years, but that was more than enough.
To make it the cherry on top of the cake, the boss/owner is wanting to bring in my replacement for me to start training (again, this is mutual and I offered to help with training) at literally the busiest time we have every month. This busy time of the month is our payment process where we process all invoices for jobs and then cut the checks.
This busy time has occurred basically the same time every month for FOREVER. According to my office manager it's a standard in the construction business; so why my boss never remembers it or cares enough about his small staff to logistically plan around it is infuriating to me. The new girl would literally come at the single worst possible time anyone could start for training. It makes the whole situation more stressful and will no doubt impede our already outdated payment process.
To add to insult, he randomly has decided to bring on a college intern around the exact same time the new girl would start. Per my office manager, who has worked for my boss for quite some time now, this is an extremely rare occurrence of my boss to decide this. I guess it's been pondered but never acted on, until now for some reason.
This all means we have to figure out a way to incorporate the intern into the job while also training the new girl and staying on course with our payment process. My boss has the worst timing ever and it truly speaks to his inconsideration of his employees time. Fuck him and this company.
