My wife has been working for this diner that’s been built into an old folks home. Super swank retirement living. Worked her ass off there. Employees start dropping like flies because the company can’t get its shit together. but she stuck through it all because you’re supposed to get some big bonus at the end of the year. Well they brought in a new fancy chef supposedly from culinary school out of California. And everything was fine at first. But my wife is in drug court and they knew she was and it’s never been an issue. But when the new chef found out he started treating her completely different. She would come home crying at least once a week telling me how the new chef (supposedly a pretty big guy) would corner her in the kitchen off camera and cuss her out and yell at her. To the point that she was scared to file a complaint of any kind. So we talk it over and she tells me that all the customers and other employees always talk about how much they enjoy having her there. S o we decide to put in a complaint. We try to do this on a Monday. Get an appointment for a 1pm phone call. We don’t receive the call. They text her the next day telling her she’s fired. Had almost 40 hours of PTO built up as well. But everything’s gone now. Rant over lol. The end
