If some can claim that free things (food, housing, healthcare, money) will disincentivize people from participation in an economy wouldn’t the same hold true for wealth? Wealth, at a certain level is self-accumulating. Ownership is not a job. Then wouldn’t we, by their own logic, be obligated to to prevent greed-fulfilled sloth as both unethical and dangerous to the broader institutions of economy and society?*
