Trying to decipher if it's worth me going for missed back pay. At my old job I was given additional job duties about May 2020. I was told my job description would be updated and my compensation would be reassessed to include these new job duties as well as receive any back pay for the time I was completing these duties. I made sure to track the project notes (got screenshot receipts) of this job description change which began in January 2021. Due to many excuses when I left the job in December 2021 they still had not completed the project and given me any of the back pay for the additional work for over a year. I made sure to ask an HR rep about this during my exit interview and ask if I could still receive the back pay. I was told “I don't see why not”. Well…

Well here we are July 2022, do I have any leg to stand on to try to get this back pay? The HR rep I spoke to no longer seems to be with the company. When I emailed him I got a failed to send message that the email address doesn't exist.
