I work in a metal factory, union based. 3 12 hours shifts, then 3 days off. Place runs 24 hours.
I'm on the verge of walking out and taking a pay cut to something else.
I was training on a piece of equipment, and it was taking twice as long as anyone else for me to learn, but it is because the trainer and I don't get along. There has been multiple people who joined the department after me but got signed off on before I did. The trainer made it so I can only train with him, no one else, but everyone else including new hires are able to train with anyone, meaning they are getting trained when trainer is not there. So I get disqualified from position because trainer told griever and HR I'm not getting it.
The reasoning why he doesn't like me is because told him about my rent going up, and how I find landlords to be a parasitic class on our economy. And I'm not a Trump supporter. These people have stickers and pictures of trump everywhere.
I'm mad and just want to leave, but the pay is good… I hate it
