I have never done anything like this before. I’m 24 and haven’t been unemployed since high school.
I went in yesterday for my first day (recently left my job of 4.5 years) and found out I was completely misled about the schedule/hours. I was expected to stay 2-2.5 hours late several days a week. I was told we got out early every Friday. Also was told this wasn’t true.
I work in healthcare and pay was decent for the position but not worth the bullshit of not knowing when I’ll be home and if I can make plans for after work or what! I refuse to revolve my life around a job that doesn’t give a shit about me.
I thought they’d at least TRY calling today when I didn’t show up, but nope. I could’ve died in an accident for all they know.
Waking up today and knowing I wasn’t going in felt so good. Still have 2 paychecks coming from my last job. Job hunt is on, but I’m looking forward to having these next few weeks off.
