When you’re happy and grateful to be sick

So, I recently lost a new job because I kept blacking out, including one incident where I spilled a hot drink on myself. As a result, I went to the Doctor who signed a not-fit-for-work note for me. This means I get to collect the paltry benefits the government provides (and in a few months once everything's processed, a little extra), and I'm not forced to search for work while receiving them. I just had a test of my heartbeat, kidney function and blood tests and everything came back clear, so now they think that it's a neurological issue. I will have to wait to see a specialist in order to have a brain scan done. And you know what? I'm absolutely delighted – It's some of the best news I've ever received in my life. I don't have to work anymore for the foreseeable future, I can be free…

I'm absolutely delighted – It's some of the best news I've ever received in my life. I don't have to work anymore for the foreseeable future, I can be free of bullying and exploitation by management for a while.

Just thought it was incredible to note that this system is so terrible that possibly having a serious neurological disorder makes you feel like a load has been lifted from your shoulders.
