Back pain and ergonomic chair request was denied

I notified my manager that I was having back pain and he denied my request for an ergonomic chair citing that work at home associates must supply their own furniture within the HR policy. Before I made the request, I spoke to the workplace analyst who orders this type of furniture for associates all the time, said the manager should supply reasonable accommodations even if they are a work from home associate. And ergonomic furniture is defined as a reasonable accommodation in the HR policy. I feel like my manager is being hostile about this because it’s a reasonable request and some associates already get this accommodation without being hassled.
