Time to find another job?

I have been working at a company for a little over a year. After about 6 months, I asked for more responsibility and my manager gave me a bunch of more things to do since I was efficient with my time and was able to take on more. I loved my job. I told them it would be beneficial to add in a second person to assist me with the small redundant tasks so I could focus on the bigger things. They happily did- but they never stuck around. I had my review recently since it had been a year and when I brought up a pay increase they said since the cost of living went up, everyone got a bump in their pay already. They told me I would have to wait until early spring of next year to talk about an increase. They said we appreciate you taking on the role of two people so we are giving you a bonus- which was not very much. I also brought up the fact that I was hired on for an entry level and proved myself by taking on more tasks. They followed up by saying that the work that I am now doing was what they had planned for my career from the start (this was never mentioned to me). Nothing in my contract says that I was eventually going to take on the responsibility that I went out of my way and asked for.

Should I ask to speak to my manager again and discuss and increase or should I leave?
