I’m not a waitress, but I went out to eat with my family. This wonderful lady was able to get everything my family needed and more, juggling multiple orders and drinks. I have anxiety, so a job like this would be impossible for me. I just couldn’t help but be in awe of how she managed be friendly and busy at the same time. It’s practically an art form.
I’m not sure what she was paid, but I hope it was damn good. I doubt it though, so I’m happy my family left her with a large enough tip to cover her shift for the night, just in case. Tipping culture sucks, but it makes me happy to be able to put $100 in someone’s hands in that moment.
And I’m not trying to brag. I just want everyone to take notice of the next waiter or waitress that serves them. And notice them.
