I interviewed for my current part time position in March 2022. I was told during my interview that I would be receiving a $1200 hiring bonus, $600 at hiring and $600 after 6 months.
Today, my general manager informed me that since my hire date was officially April 4th, 2022, that I don't qualify at all for any hiring bonus.
We were depending on that to help us pay bills (I took extended time off from working because I had a mental breakdown and entered a long term therapy program) and to help us afford food during the school year (on paper we make too much for assistance, but we can't even afford to pay all our bills right now, and physically or mentally i cannot handle working full time)
I'm sitting in my car rage crying during my lunch break.
