I'd say, Yeah you're right. Nobody wants to work for/under other people anymore.
I would Love to be my own boss and be self employed and make a living that way instead of slaving away for a mega corporation under People who barely acknowledge your existence. However, It's easier said then done in the corporate states of America. They want to keep us reliant on them. They want more wage slaves. I'm not against working, I'm against working for other people and making them the big bucks and being treated awful in the process.
Of course IMHO, it all starts with our education system. From a young age we are conditioned to get good grades and do well so we can get into college and then find our “dream job”. As soon as you walk off that stage it's “Ok now go get a job and work your life away for 40+ years”. They present different options to you out of HS/college, such as the military, More schooling, entering the work force. But, they never present you with the option of working for yourself. It's always “work for someone else”. That doesn't stop them from playing the “well, If you aren't happy in your job start your own business” card. Once again, easier said than done in the corporate states of America. Most people wouldn't even know how to go about staring their own business because they have never been taught. That and there is a bunch of red tape for licenses and other things you may need to even operate.
TLDR: Nobody wants to work under other people and be treated awful anymore.
