I don't know if this is the best place for this, if it's not just delete the thread. I just couldn't think where else to go.
So I work at Walmart in electronics. My department, though we have a strong team, there is a gossip problem surrounding the woman. I've never made enemies at Walmart and today I was pulled aside by my TL and Coach (assistant manager). She said that it was brought to her attention that I was recording people talking down on another employee who's currently out on medical leave. I was astounded by these accusations because I've never done that. I offered for my boss to go through my messages with said person (she declined politely) and told me that she's not writing me up due to lack of any evidence and just wanted to get my side and talk about it. I demanded a team meeting for tomorrow to discuss this further. Also, there were “multiple reports” no exact number was given, but one is NOT Walmart (I'm assuming Premium wireless who's a third party that does phone line setups) I'm just baffled by all this. I did show my TL a quick glimpse of the text logs between my coworker and I and It was proof there were no multimedia messages or deleted messages (it was on Facebook, I don't have her number) my TL knows I wouldn't do this and that's good.
I want advice on what I can do in this situation. I've always avoided drama, I've always been respectful, idk why anyone would do this.
