This is kinda a vent so bare with me.
So I just learned that this was a fucking option.
To live in these cool houses (usually self built and the pictures I put up are definitely modern versions) and live in a completely sustainable house.
Currently live in the South West USA and inflation has hit us hard enough that I'm working 2.5 jobs (plus Uni) just to be able to make it work. Crazy part that's not even what I mind. It's the fact that employers think you owe them while you're on shift. Minimal breaks, terrible working conditions (faulty AC) and at the end of the day they have the audacity to try and steal from non livable wages by not paying you because “you're technically not supposed to be on the clock” after being forced to complete extreme task lists everyday.
That being said this little discovery of mine up lit a fire under my ass that working is bullshit. A lot of the reason that we work is to provide for things in cities that are overcrowded and inflated to the max. I feel like a pull to nature should be in the cards for many people; that satisfaction that I'm working my ass off to provide for me and mine in a way that's constructive and not destructive. Earthship – like even the name makes fucking sense (plus look at the pics……. so fucking cute and that view with the greenery )
Okay thanx for listening to my TED talk.
