Family business built over 40yrs by uncle, mom has been executive assistant and right hand woman the entire time, does the book-keeping and manages business and interpersonal relationships as well as employees. Company was sold for XX milli 2 yrs ago and buyer agreed to keep family on for a while, family was kept on for a while, family has offered to help mom when things go south although she might not want the handout, with 0 notice her pay was cut down to 1/3rd or offered to be let go w/ severance. She handles bookkeeping, accounting, taxes, more or less manages the company in the shadows. Her male counterparts did not receive the same pay cut, what are her options?
