Sorry if this isn't the best place to share this but I hope other people can find help in the comments who may be going through something similiar.
I've been slacking at work the last 3-4 months due to burn out. I've been with my company for 3 years now. I work from home and have spent most days lazily doing my job because I just really can't stand it anymore and I'm hoping that they fire me. I've had multiple meetings with my boss and their boss discussing what I do in the day and am able to avoid it or say that I'm taking my time working my work. Recently though they finally said I will be forced to work in office (office is an hour way) due to my performance. They did warn that that it could lead to further disciplinary action such as losing my job. I'm hoping to get fired before I'm forced to work in office. A few more details – I started going to school last year and my work has made adjustments for me to go to school. I.e changing my schedule and now that I have to work in office I can't go to school anymore. I also found out that I MAY have an autoimmune disease. My girlfriend told me I could just ask my manager to let me go in a way that could get me unemployment and just being direct about the scenario. What are my options? I'm in Utah
