My store manager has a warrant out for his arrest because of the regional manager

My store manger got some traffic ticket and needed to show up to court to pay for it on Thursday. I’m not sure what the exchange was between them but ultimately the regional manager (who everything has to be approved through) would not let him take the time off to go deal with. So he has a bench warrant out because he wasn’t able to leave work (at a gas station). And when he texted her that he now has a warrant out, she just sent back “LOL”. He wanted to go deal with it the next day, Friday, but she still wouldn’t let him, saying he needs to deal with the merchandise truck. I don’t think he’s actively being pursued but if he gets pulled over again, he’ll probably be taken to jail. I’m not one to sympathize with my bosses too much, but I know what it’s like…

He wanted to go deal with it the next day, Friday, but she still wouldn’t let him, saying he needs to deal with the merchandise truck. I don’t think he’s actively being pursued but if he gets pulled over again, he’ll probably be taken to jail. I’m not one to sympathize with my bosses too much, but I know what it’s like to really need to deal with serious things and not being allowed to and fearing termination for it.

I’ve only been here a month and I’m already talking myself out of quitting just yet.

Side note, I worked 4th of July and didn’t get paid holiday pay just because my 90 day trial period isn’t done yet. Shitty company.

Edit: he has a bench warrant out. So yes, he’s not running from police. But he needs to keep a low profile while dealing with all this. I’ve also edited the title to reflect this (idk how to edit the title on mobile)
