So i am 21 y/o, a diploma graduate and currently working as a waiter for a catering company. I need money for my degree, don't want to trouble my parents hence i'm working there. Idk how to explain this stuff since i'm not really good at english..
Anyway i've been working there for almost 2 months, they provide hostel and transportation for employees to go to the workplace.
But the problem is, the amount of salary and workloads are ridiculous. Plus we don't have OT (over time) even though we literally work for more than 10 hours a day when there are so many people to serve. We usually wake up at 3.30 am and go home at 9 pm, but if we need to serve vip and vvip, we go back home at 1 am :') i'm trying my best here even though i feel burnout.
We only got 2+ hours of sleep per day and we only got to rest properly on weekend. The best part is the salary is only MYR 1500 (USD 337.04) a month. Idk if this is correct or not, i just convert the currency on google. Fyi, that is the minimum wage in my country 🙁
Right now, there are so many employees that want to quit the job including me. I'm planning on searching for another job while waiting for my apllication result for degree this september. I'm also planning to apply for scholarship since my diploma results met the requirements.
