I work as a sever at a very popular chain and they are constantly making their workers stay and finish working while off the clock. They will try and get us off the clock as quick as possible if labor is even close to being “too high.” They say that that extra $10/h doesn’t mean much cause we make a good amount in tips but that’s not right. This is the same company that got sued for back logging clock out times of their staff and I’m just so angry. They are taking advantage of people like me who are too nice for their own good. They also have the nerve to have a problem with me going on “vacation” to visit my dad who currently lives in another state that costs me 100s to fly too and wont give me a better position. They also say they won’t give it to me because If they cut me I am okay with it and go home. Like why would I stay if I got one table in 2 hours and am making no money PLUS YOURE FORCING ME TO LEAVE AS WELL. But the 15 times I stayed off the clock for hours to help you guys out which doesn’t benefit me at all Makes me a lazy worker. Im just over it and I don’t know what to do….
