Anyone know why companies have started forcing their workers to stand for 8 hrs+. I've applied to multiple jobs within the last month and there are so many that require you to stand all day. I've seen item sorting jobs require you to inspect and sort while standing but can and should be done while sitting. Also manufacturing jobs that require you to stand all day although it can be done sitting down.
Since when did working comfortably become such a luxury to find in a workplace. I just don't get it and it upsets me so much that workers are being forced to have aching feet and backs because a company doesn't want their employees to be comfortable.
