Advice for the most professional way to let someone know you’re not working for them until you get paid

Some of you may remember me from a few weeks ago. I’m a ‘contractor’ art instructor, who gets paid on a monthly basis, but have yet to receive my first paycheck. Now I’m almost ready to send my February invoice, and have still yet to receive my January check. I’ve completely lost my patience, and am ready to let them know I will require both months of pay before I continue doing any more work for them. I want to be as professional as possible, as I don’t want them to have any excuse to paint me as a “bad person”. I don’t want to be accusatory. I don’t want to be rude. I just want to be completely black and white with my intentions, and also make it clear that I’m not quitting, but just suspending myself until I’m given what I was promised.
